Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelets are rich in growth factors and other bioactive proteins that play a crucial role in tissue repair and regeneration. Once separated, the concentrated platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is collected and can be used for various medical and therapeutic purposes such as facial rejuvenation and treatment for hair thinning.

How It Works

PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is a cutting-edge treatment that utilizes your body's natural healing abilities to rejuvenate and repair tissues. The process begins with a simple blood draw, from which we isolate and concentrate the platelets, rich in growth factors and proteins, through a specialized centrifugation process. Once activated, the PRP is ready for application. Depending on your specific needs, it can be applied topically during microneedling for skin revitalization, or injected into the scalp for hair restoration. As the PRP is introduced to the targeted area, it stimulates collagen production, tissue regeneration, and improved blood circulation, resulting in a range of benefits such as enhanced skin texture, reduction in acne scarring and even hair growth. This natural and minimally invasive approach offers patients a powerful tool for achieving optimal health and aesthetics.

Facial Anti-Aging Rejuvenation

Often referred to as the "vampire" facial, PRP offers a versatile solution for revitalizing the aging face and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This non-invasive procedure combines the power of microneedling with the regenerative properties of PRP. Microneedling utilizes tiny needles to stimulate collagen production and skin tightening without causing damage. When combined with PRP, it triggers the body's natural processes to renew and rejuvenate the skin. This treatment isn't limited to the face; it can also be applied to areas like under the eyes, offering an alternative to under-eye fillers. To ensure comfort, we begin with the application of numbing cream to the face and neck before the PRP facial procedure.

Hair Loss/Thinning

PRP is a versatile solution for addressing hair loss and promoting new hair growth. Its natural growth factors work in a threefold manner: they recruit new hair growth, maintain existing hair in its growth phase, and stimulate stem cells around the follicles to thicken hair. The results are typically visible within 3-6 months, and a minimum of 3-4 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, is recommended. PRP hair loss treatments involve minimal downtime, with the only restriction being refraining from washing the hair for 12-24 hours. Most patients experience little discomfort during the procedure, as we use fine, thin needles for the blood draw and injections. For those who prefer it, numbing cream can be applied to enhance comfort.
